ประวัติความเป็นมาของ Stingy Jack… แจ็คจอมโกง

คราวนี้แจ็คก็เลยรู้สึกโดดเดี่ยวขึ้นเป็นครั้งแรกในชีวิต เพราะไม่ว่าจะเป็นโลกมนุษย์ สวรรค์ หรือนรกก็ไม่ต้อนรับที่สำคัญแจ็คยังเป็นโรคกลัวความมืดอย่างรุนแรงเสียด้วย (นั่นเป็นสาเหตุว่าทำไมแจ็คจึงไม่อยากลงนรกแต่แรก) ก็เลยถามซาตานไปว่าเขาจะสามารถอยู่ต่อไปโดยไม่มี “ไฟ” ได้อย่างไร ซึ่งซาตานก็ยังอุตสาห์ใจดีมอบเปลวไฟจากนรกยื่นให้กับแจ็ค ก่อนที่แจ็คจะนำไฟมาไว้ในหัวผักกาดเทอร์นิป (Turnip) ผักที่เขาชอบมากที่สุด และอีกเช่นเคย แจ็คขโมยเทอร์นิปจากชาวบ้านมา!
