การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ 5 ประการ คือ (1) เพื่อสร้างเครื่องตัดหญ้าพลังงานแสงอาทิตย์
(2) เพื่อใช้ในการตัดหญ้าสนาม (3) เพื่อศึกษาสมรรถนะและผลการทำงานของเครื่องตัดหญ้าพลังงานแสงอาทิตย์ (4) เพื่อประเมินความเหมาะสมด้านการใช้งานเครื่องตัดหญ้าพลังงานแสงอาทิตย์
(5) เพื่อใช้พลังงานทดแทนทำให้เกิดการประหยัดตามหลักเศรษฐกิจพอพียง
ผู้วิจัยได้ดำเนินการวิจัยโดยสรุปตามลำดับ คือ (1) การศึกษาข้อมูลเพื่อออกแบบ
(2) การออกแบบโครงสร้าง (3) สร้างเครื่องตัดหญ้าพลังงานแสงอาทิตย์ (4) การทดลองและศึกษาผลการทำงาน (5) การประเมินความเหมาะสมด้านการใช้งาน (6) การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล (7) การนำเสนอผลการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล
ผลการวิจัยพบว่า
1. ค่าเฉลี่ยของเวลาที่ใช้ตัดหญ้าต่อพื้นที่ 50 ตารางเมตรเท่ากับ 35 นาที
