1) ทำการทดสอบประสิทธิภาพในการนำความร้อนของฉนวนกันความร้อน
ใช้เครื่องทดสอบ Heat Flow Meter โดยวิธีการวัดอัตราการถ่ายเทความร้อนจากด้านบนลงสู่ด้านล่างของชิ้นทดสอบ เพื่อค่าสัมประสิทธ์การนำความร้อน (Thermal conductivity, K-Value)
2) ทำการทดสอบประสิทธิภาพอัตราการดูดซับน้ำของฉนวนกันความร้อน
ทำการทดสอบโดยนำตัวอย่างขนาดกวาง × ยาว × หนา เท่ากับ 25 mm × 360 mm × 13 mm หลังจาก นั้นก็ทำการทดสอบโดยทำการวัดขนาดและชั่งน้ำหนักของชิ้นทดสอบบันทึกขนาดที่แน่นอนไว แล้วจึงนำชิ้นทดสอบวางในแนวดิ่งและงอชิ้นทดสอบเป็นรูปตัว U แชน้ำให้จมเพียงตรงกลางของชิ้นทดสอบที่บริเวณด้างล่างที่ถูกงอที่ยาว 306 mm. แช่ทิ้งไว 24 ชม. หลังจากนั้นยกชิ้นทดสอบขึ้นให้สะเด็ดน้ำ
