ประวัติวัดภูพลานสูง
วัดภูพลานสูงเป็นวัดในสังกัดคณะสงฆ์มหานิกาย สำนักงานพระพุทธศาสนาแห่งชาติได้ประกาศจัดตั้งวัดภูพลานสูงเป็นวัดในพระพุทธ ศาสนา เมื่อวันที่ ๑ พฤษภาคม ๒๕๕๐ สถานที่ตั้งวัดตั้งอยู่บนยอดเขาพลานสูง (คำว่าพลานสูง หมายถึงลานหินกว้าง) เทือกเขาภูจอง ห่างจากอำเภอนาจะหลวยไปทางทิศตะวันออกประมาณ ๔ กิโลเมตร วัดนี้อยู่ในความอุปถัมภ์ของชาวบ้านหลักเมือง ต.นาจะหลวย อ.นาจะหลวย จ.อุบลราชธานี และทางคณะสงฆ์ได้แต่งตั้งพระครูธรรมธร (ภรังสี ฉนฺทโร) เป็นเจ้าอาวาสเมื่อวันที่ ๑๑ มิถุนายน ๒๕๕๐ ทางวัดและญาติโยมได้จัดพิธีเปิดป้ายวัดและทำบุญฉลองตราตั้งเจ้าอาวาสเพื่อ เป็นสิริมงคล โดยมีพระเทพกิตติมุนีที่ปรึกษาเจ้าคณะจังหวัดอุบลราชธานีเป็นประธาน เมื่อ วันที่ ๒๓ กรกฎาคม ๒๕๕๐
