เนื่องจากโครงงานฉบับนี้เป็นงานที่ได้รับมอบหมายจากกลุ่มสาระคณิตศาสตร์เพิ่มเติมโดยการที่จะทำอย่างไรเพื่อจะสามารถลดขยะในโรงเรียนได้มากขึ้น จึงได้มีการมุ่งเน้นหาขยะที่สามารถนำกลับมาใช้ใหม่ได้คือขยะประเภทขวดน้ำพลาสติกเพื่อนำมาดัดแปลงเป็นหลังคาประยุกต์ใช้ทางการเกษตร โดยเราจัดทำแปลงเพาะปลูกพืชขึ้นมา 1 แปลง และมีผัก 5 ชนิด มีการนำหลังคาจากขวดพลาสติกที่เราออกแบบและประดิษฐ์ขึ้นเพื่อใช้ประโยชน์มาประกอบเข้าด้วยกัน โดยปฏิบัติตามทีละขั้นตอนตามรูปแบบที่ได้วางแผนไว้ก่อนหน้านี้ นอกจากจะเป็นการลดขยะในโรงเรียนแล้ว เรายังได้มีการเพาะปลูกพืชแบบแผนเศรษฐกิจพอเพียงและมีรายได้จากการขายผลผลิตเป็นที่น่าพอใจอย่างมาก
