เดิมบ้านเจริญผล หมู่ 4 ได้ขึ้นเป็นตำบลห้วยแถลง หมู่1 ซึ่งก่อนที่จะก่อตั้งขึ้นเป็นหมู่บ้านเจริญผลประมาณปี พ.ศ. 2513 ก็ได้มีคนกลุ่มหนึ่งมาจากอำเภอพุทธไธสง จังหวัดบุรีรัมย์ บางมาจากอำเภอโนนสูงและถิ่นต่างๆ
