ตาดิงยุต เป็นเทศกาลที่เฉลิมฉลองการกลับมายังโลกมนุษย์ของพระพุทธเจ้า 
จะจัดขึ้นในช่วงวันออกพรรษา หรือหมดฤดูฝน ซึ่งจะจัดด้วยกัน 3 วัน คือ ในวันก่อนพระจันทร์เต็มดวง  วันพระจันทร์เต็มดวง และหลังวันพระจันทร์เต็มดวง  ซึ่งจะตรงกับวันที่ 11-13 ตุลาคมของทุกปี
ชาวเมืองจะประดับประดาโคมไฟตามบ้านเรือนให้สว่างไปทั่วบริเวณ
