การวิจัย ‘การศึกษาความคิดเห็นของนักเรียนต่อวิธีการปลูกฝังค่านิยม 12 ประการ” นี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) เพื่อประมาณร้อยละของนักเรียนที่มีความคิดเห็นต่อวิธีการปลูกฝังค่านิยม 12 ประการ ประชากรที่ใช้ในการศึกษาคือ นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 โรงเรียนพรตพิทยพยัต จังหวัด กรุงเทพมหานคร ที่กำลังศึกษาอยู่ในปีการศึกษา 2557 จำนวน 524 คนทำการสุ่มตัวอย่างอย่างง่ายแบบไม่แทนที่ (Simple random sampling without replacement) ขนาดตัวอย่างเท่ากับ 25 คน
ผลการวิจัยพบว่าความคิดเห็นของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 โรงเรียนพรตพิทยพยัต ต่อวิธีการปลูกฝังค่านิยม ผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามเลือกเป็นอันดับแรกคือ ครูผู้สอนประพฤติตนเป็นแบบอย่างที่ดีในเรื่องคุณธรรมจริยธรรม อันดับสอง คือ ครูผู้สอนยกย่องชมเชยหรือให้รางวัล แก่นักเรียนที่มีความประพฤติดี และอันดับสาม คือ ความเต็มใจของนักเรียนในการปฏิบัติตามระเบียบของโรงเรียน ผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามให้ระดับความสำคัญสูงสุดคือ บุคลากรทุกฝ่ายรวมทั้งครูและนักเรียนได้มีส่วนร่วมในการปรับปรุงพัฒนาระเบียบปฏิบัติของนักเรียน ร้อยละ 9.649872 รองลงมา มีการปรับปรุงแก้ไขระเบียบปฏิบัติของนักเรียนให้เหมาะสมอยู่เสมอ ร้อยละ 9.393681 และวิธีการที่ผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามให้ระดับความสำคัญต่ำสุด คือ ความเต็มใจของนักเรียนในการปฏิบัติตามระเบียบของโรงเรียน ร้อยละ 9.393681
