บทที่ 3
วิธีการดำเนินการวิจัย

การวิจัยในครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อต้องการจะศึกษาข้อผิดพลาดในการออกเสียงสระภาษาอังกฤษของนักศึกษาปริญญาตรี ชั้นปีที่ 3 และชั้นปีที่ 4 หลักสูตรเทียบโอน ที่เรียนรายวิชาการออกเสียง สาขาภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารสากล คณะวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลศรีวิชัย วิทยาเขตนครศรีธรรมราช (ไสใหญ่) โดยใช้แบบทดสอบการออกเสียงสระภาษาอังกฤษ ซึ่งผู้วิจัยได้ดำเนินการวิจัยตามลำดับขั้นตอนดังนี้
1. ประชากรที่ใช้ในการศึกษา
2. เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย
3. การทดสอบความเชื่อมั่นทางเครื่องมือ
4. การเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล
5. การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลและสถิติที่ใช้ในการวิจัย

1. ประชากรที่ใช้ในการศึกษา
ประชากรตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ ได้แก่ นักศึกษาปริญญาตรีชั้นปีที่ 3 และชั้นปีที่ 4 หลักสูตรเทียบโอน ที่เรียนรายวิชาการออกเสียง สาขาภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารสากล คณะวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลศรีวิชัย วิทยาเขตนครศรีธรรมราช (ไสใหญ่) ในภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2558 การสุ่มตัวอย่างใช้วิธีการสุ่มแบบเจาะจง (purposive sampling) จำนวน 31 คน

2. เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย
เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ ได้แก่ แบบทดสอบการออกเสียงสระภาษาอังกฤษ จำนวน 1 ชุด คือ
ชุดแบบทดสอบการออกเสียงสระเดี่ยว และการออกเสียงสระประสม

3. การทดสอบความเชื่อมั่นทางเครื่องมือ
ผู้วิจัยดำเนินตามขั้นตอนดังนี้
1. ศึกษาค้นคว้าเอกสารและงานวิจัยที่เกี่ยวข้องกับข้อผิดพลาดในการออกเสียงสระภาษาอังกฤษ
2. สร้างแบบทดสอบเพื่อประเมินหาข้อผิดพลาดของการออกเสียงสระภาษาอังกฤษ
3. นำแบบทดสอบที่สร้างขึ้นมาไปให้อาจารย์ที่ปรึกษางานวิจัยตรวจสอบความถูกต้องและเหมาะสมของเนื้อหา ความชัดเจนในการใช้คำศัพท์ในแบบทดสอบเพื่อนำไปปรับปรุงแก้ไข้
4. ผู้วิจัยได้ปรับปรุงและแก้ไขแบบทดสอบตามที่ได้รับคำแนะนำจากอาจารย์ที่ปรึกษางานวิจัย
5. นำแบบทดสอบที่ได้ปรับปรุงแก้ไขแล้วไปดำเนินการใช้กับนักศึกษากลุ่มตัวอย่าง จำนวน 30คน

4. การเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล
1. ดำเนินการแจกแบบทดสอบให้กับนักศึกษา ชั้นปีที่ 3 และชั้นปีที่ 4 หลักสูตรเทียบโอน ที่เรียนรายวิชาการออกเสียง สาขาภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารสากล คณะวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลศรีวิชัย วิทยาเขตนครศรีธรรมราช (ไสใหญ่) ที่เป็นกลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวน 30 คน
2. ให้นักศึกษากลุ่มตัวอย่างทั้งหมดอ่านออกเสียงจากแบบทดสอบ ที่ผู้วิจัยได้สร้างขึ้น โดยผู้วิจัยจะทำการบันทึกข้อมูลในเครื่องบันทึกเสียงเก็บไว้
3. นำข้อมูลที่ได้จากการวิจัยมาวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลทางสถิติ

การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล
ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ผู้วิจัยได้ดำเนินการดังนี้
1. นำข้อมูลเสียงที่ได้ไปให้ผู้เชี่ยวชาญในด้านการออกเสียงจำนวน 1 ท่าน คือ ผู้เชี่ยวชาญในการสอนการออกเสียงภาษาอังกฤษ ทำการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการฟังเสียงที่ถูกบันทึกไว้และให้ผู้เชี่ยวชาญบันทึกไว้ว่ากลุ่มตัวอย่างออกเสียงสระภาษาอังกฤษ ในแต่ละรายการคำศัพท์เป็นเสียงใด ออกเสียงได้ถูกต้องหรือไม่
2. คำนวณจำนวนครั้งของการออกเสียงที่ปรากฏในแต่ละคำ

สถิติที่ใช้ในงานวิจัย
ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลผู้วิจัยได้ใช้วิธีทางสถิติ ดังนี้
1. ค่าความถี่ และค่าร้อยละ โดยคิดคำนวณร้อยละของเสียงสระที่ปรากฏของเสียงแต่ละเสียง ดังนี้
