โครงงานนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสกัดสารสกัดหยาบจากสมุนไพเพื่อกำจัดปลวกใต้ดิน (Subterranean termites) จากหางไหล กลอย และบอระเพ็ด โดยวิธีการสกัดเย็นด้วยตัวทำละลายเมทานอล แล้วนำมาทดสอบฤทธิ์ทางชีวภาพเบื้องต้นด้วยปลวกใต้ดิน (Subterranean termites) ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ตัวทำละลายที่ให้ร้อยละผลผลิตได้สูงสุดของสารสกัดจากหางไหล กลอย และบอระเพ็ด ด้วยตัวทำละลายเมทานอลซึ่งมีค่าสูงสุดคือกลอย มีค่าเท่ากับ 15.33 เปอร์เซ็นต์การตายของปลวกใต้ดิน (Subterranean termites) ในสารสกัดหยาบที่ความเข้มข้น 6.25 %, 1.56 %, 0.39 %, 0.097 % และ 0.024 % ที่เวลา 6 ชั่วโมง พบว่าสารสกัดหยาบด้วยเมทานอลของหางไหล บอระเพ็ด และกลอย ที่ความเข้มข้น 6.25 % ให้เปอร์เซ็นต์การตายเท่ากับ 100, 100 และ 96.67 ตามลำดับ โดยมีค่า LC_50 ที่ 6 ชั่วโมง เท่ากับ……………………………………
