การวิจัยในครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อประเมินคุณภาพการให้บริการระบบการแจ้งเข้าแจ้งออกของเรือ (NSW)และศึกษาแนวทางในการพัฒนาระบบการแจ้งเข้าแจ้งออกของเรือ(NSW) กรณีศึกษาเขตพื้นที่ท่าเรือแหลมฉบัง อำเภอศรีราชา จังหวัดชลบุรี การศึกษาครั้งนี้ผู้วิจัยศึกษาข้อมูลพื้นฐานเบื้องต้นของระบบเก่า ในภาพรวม ที่เชื่อมโยงมาถึงระบบใหม่  บริเวณเขตท่าเรือแหลมฉบัง เกี่ยวกับการพัฒนารูปแบบระบบการทำงานของการแจ้งเข้า-แจ้งออก เพื่อให้เกิดความคุ้มค่าในการลดต้นทุนทางเศรษฐกิจและประโยชน์ที่จะได้รับขององค์กร รวมถึงผลกระทบของการพัฒนาระบบ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยในครั้งนี้ จะใช้แบบสอบถามและการสัมภาษณ์จากผู้เชี่ยวชาญทางด้านระบบ (NSW)
ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ระบบการแจ้งเข้าแจ้งออกของเรือ(NSW)ที่พัฒนาขึ้นนั้น ดีกว่าระบบเก่าในด้าน ความไม่ซ้ำซ้อนของการเข้าใจระบบ
