การเขียนความเรียงชั้นสูง เรื่องพืชสมุนไพรมีสรรพคุณทางยาจริงหรือ พืชสมุนไพร เป็นผลผลิตจากธรรมชาติ ที่มนุษย์รู้จักนำมาใช้เป็นประโยชน์ เพื่อการรักษาโรคภัยไข้เจ็บตั้งแต่โบราณกาลแล้ว เช่นในเอเชียก็มีหลักฐานแสดงว่ามนุษย์รู้จักใช้พืชสมุนไพรมากว่า ๖,000 ปี แต่หลังจากที่ความรู้ด้านวิทยาศาสตร์ มีการพัฒนาเจริญก้าวหน้ามากขึ้น มีการสังเคราะห์ และผลิตยาจากสารเคมี ในรูปที่ใช้ประโยชน์ได้ง่าย สะดวกสบายในการใช้มากกว่าสมุนไพร ทำให้ความนิยมใช้ยาสมุนไพรลดลงมาเป็นอันมาก เป็นเหตุให้ความรู้วิทยาการด้านสมุนไพรขาดการพัฒนา ไม่เจริญก้าวหน้าเท่าที่ควร ในปัจจุบันทั่วโลกได้ยอมรับแล้วว่าผลที่ได้จากการสกัดสมุนไพร ให้คุณประโยชน์ดีกว่ายา ที่ได้จากการสังเคราะห์ทางวิทยาศาสตร์ประกอบกับในประเทศไทยเป็นแหล่งทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ
