วัดไผ่โรงวัว ตั้งอยู่ที่ ตำบลบางตาเถร ห่างจากตัวจังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี ประมาณ 43 กิโลเมตร หรือจากกรุงเทพฯ
ประมาณ 70 กิโลเมตร ตามเส้นทางสายตลิ่งชัน-สุพรรณบุรี มีทางแยกซ้ายก่อนถึงสามแยกลาดบัวหลวงเข้าสู่วัดไผ่โรงวัว วัดนี้สร้างเมื่อ พ.ศ. 2469 เป็นวัดที่มีพุทธ-ศาสนิกชน และบุคคลทั่วไป นิยมไปเที่ยวชมกันมาก หลวงพ่อขอม ได้ดำเนินการก่อสร้าง “พระพุทธโคดม” เป็นพระพุทธรูปโลหะสำริดองค์ใหญ่ที่สุดในประเทศไทย เริ่มก่อสร้างตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2502 ใช้เวลาก่อสร้างนานถึง 17 ปี พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว ได้เสด็จพระราชดำเนินมาทรงยกพระเกตุมาลา เมื่อวันที่ 12 มีนาคม 2512
