การวิจัยเชิงพรรณนาภาคตัดขวาง (Crossectional descriptive Study) ในครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาระดับคุณภาพชีวิตของนักศึกษาวิทยาลัยการสาธารณสุขสิรินธร จังหวัดขอนแก่น เพื่อเปรียบเทียบคุณภาพชีวิตตามคุณลักษณะส่วนบุคคล และวิเคราะห์หาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างสภาพแวดล้อมในวิทยาลัยกับคุณภาพชีวิตนักศึกษาวิทยาลัยการสาธารณสุขสิรินธร จังหวัดขอนแก่น กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นนักศึกษาวิทยาลัยการสาธารณสุขสิรินธร จังหวัดขอนแก่น 174 คน ใช้การสุ่มตัวอย่างแบบแบ่งชั้นภูมิ (Stratified Sampling) และการสุ่มอย่างง่าย เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลโดยใช้แบบสอบถาม วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ค่าต่ำสุด ค่าสูงสุด ใช้สถิติ Independent t – test เปรียบเทียบคุณภาพชีวิตตามคุณลักษณะส่วนบุคคล กรณี 2 กลุ่ม ได้แก่ เพศ อายุ และใช้สถิติ One Way ANOVA เปรียบเทียบคุณภาพชีวิตตามคุณลักษณะส่วนบุคคล กรณีมากกว่า 2 กลุ่มขึ้นไป ได้แก่ หลักสูตร ชั้นปี เกรดเฉลี่ย และทดสอบความสัมพันธ์โดยใช้ ค่าสถิติสหสัมพันธ์ของเพียร์สัน (Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation Coefficient )
ผลการศึกษาพบว่า คุณภาพชีวิตของนักศึกษาวิทยาลัยการสาธารณสุขสิรินธร จังหวัดขอนแก่น โดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับคุณภาพชีวิตกลาง ๆ มีค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 3.37 คะแนน (S.D.= 0.40) ความคิดเห็นต่อสภาพแวดล้อมในวิทยาลัยการสาธารณสุขสิรินธร จังหวัดขอนแก่น โดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก มีค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 3.76 คะแนน (S.D.= 0.54) ผลการทดสอบสมมติฐานการเปรียบเทียบคุณภาพชีวิตของนักศึกษาตามคุณลักษณะส่วนบุคคล พบว่า นักศึกษาที่มีอายุต่างกัน มีคุณภาพชีวิตแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับความผิดพลาดไม่เกินร้อยละ 5 (p-value = 0.045) (95% ช่วงเชื่อมั่นของความแตกต่างอยู่ระหว่าง -7.01 ถึง -0.07) และผลการวิเคราะห์หาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างสภาพแวดล้อมในวิทยาลัยกับคุณภาพชีวิตนักศึกษา พบว่า สภาพแวดล้อมด้านการเรียนการสอน ด้านการบริหาร ด้านการให้บริการแก่นักศึกษา ด้านสังคมในกลุ่มเพื่อน และด้านอาคารสถานที่มีความสัมพันธ์กับคุณภาพชีวิตโดยรวมอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับความผิดพลาดไม่เกินร้อยละ 5 (p-value = 0.001, 0.014,
