เนื่องจากนักเรียนถูกเลี้ยงดูแบบตามใจมาตั้งแต่เล็ก ไม่เคยถูกฝึกให้รับผิดชอบงาน ต้องการอะไรทางบ้านจะหามาให้ เนื่องจากทางบ้านมีฐานะพอที่จะดูแลได้ ซึ่งมีส่วนทำให้นักเรียนขาดความรับผิดชอบต่อตนเอง ดังนั้น พ่อแม่ควรให้เวลาและเอาใจใส่นักเรียนมากขึ้นโดยการพูดคุย และมอบหมายงานบ้านที่นักเรียนพอจะทำได้ ให้กำลังใจเมื่อนักเรียนทำได้สำเร็จ รวมทั้งคอยติดต่อประสานงานกับครูในโรงเรียนอย่างใกล้ชิดทั้งในเรื่องการเรียนและความประพฤติ
ครูประจำวิชาควรช่วยดูแล สังเกต กระตุ้น และจูงใจให้นักเรียนเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมต่าง ๆ ภายในห้อง โดยเปิดโอกาสให้นักเรียนได้แสดงความสามารถ มอบหมายงานให้รับผิดชอบและชื่นชมเมื่อทำอะไรได้สำเร็จ ไม่ควรตำหนิการกระทำของนักเรียนต่อหน้าเพื่อนให้เกิดความอับอาย แต่ใช้การตักเตือนเป็นส่วนตัวกับนักเรียน และไม่ให้ความสนใจกับพฤติกรรมที่ไม่เหมาะสม
