การวิจัยวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อการศึกษาข้อผิดพลาดในการออกเสียงสระภาษาอังกฤษของนักศึกษาชั้นปีที่ 3 และ 4 หลักสูตรเทียบโอน ที่เรียนรายวิชาการออกเสียง สาขาวิชาภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารสากล คณะวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลศรีวิชัย วิทยาเขตนครศรีธรรมราช (ไสใหญ่) กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ คือ นักศึกษาปริญญาตรีชั้นปีที่ 3 และ 4 หลักสูตรเทียบโอน ที่เรียนรายวิชาการออกเสียง สาขาภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารสากล จำนวน 33 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยได้แก่แบบทดสอบความสามารถในการออกเสียงสระภาษาอังกฤษ เพื่อศึกษาข้อผิดพลาดในการออกเสียงของนักศึกษา วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติค่าความถี่ และค่าร้อยละ ผลการศึกษาพบว่า เสียงสระที่นักศึกษาออกเสียงผิดมากที่สุดเรียงลำดับจากมากไปน้อย ดังนี้
