ทางตำรวจต้องการให้เก็บข้อมูลและตรวจสอบ(Matching) ใบหน้าและนิ้ว สำหรับผู้เดินทางทางเข้า-ออกประเทศ เพิ่มเติมจากระบบสารสนเทศตรวจคนเข้าเมือง(PIBICS) ซึ่งปัจจุบันระบบ PIBICS มีการอ่านและบันทึกข้อมูลและตรวจสอบข้อมูลจากหนังสือเดินทาง(e-Passport Reader) โดยระบบ PIBICS มีการบันทึกใบหน้าของผู้เดินทางแต่ไม่ได้ตรวจสอบ(Matching) และมีการตรวจสอบ Blacklist เฉพาะข้อมูล(Text) เท่านั้น ยังไม่มีการตรวจสอบจากใบหน้าและนิ้ว โดยความต้องการเบื้องต้นที่ต้องดำเนินเพิ่มเติมและเชื่อมโยงกับระบบ PIBICS ดังนี้
- เครื่องแม่ข่ายสำหรับจัดเก็บข้อมูลและตรวจสอบ(Matching)ใบหน้าและนิ้ว
- เครื่องอ่านลายนิ้วมือ(Finger Scan)
- กล้อง Web Cam ** ถ้าใช้รูปใบหน้าจากระบบ PIBICS ไม่ได้

- ต้องเชื่อมโยงข้อมูลกับระบบ PIBICS ด้วยเทคโนโลยี Web Services ข้อมูลที่เชื่อมโยง เช่น ข้อมูลหนังสือเดินทาง(Passport) เป็นต้น
