คณะกรรมการบริษัทฯ มีมติเป็นเอกฉันท์อนุมัติงบประมาณรายจ่ายลงทุนจำนวน 500 ล้านบาทเพื่อขยายกำลังการผลิตเพิ่มอีกเดีอนละ 1 ล้านตารางเมตร โดยในระยะแรกเพิ่ม 350,000 ตารางเมตรต่อเดือน กำหนดเสร็จภายในปี 2529 และระยะที่สอง เพิ่มอีก 700,000 ตารางเมตรต่อเดือน กำหนดเสร็จภายในปี 2560 ทั้งนี้เพื่อรองรับตลาดต่างประเทศโดยเฉพาะในกลุ่ม AEC เช่น ลาว พม่า กัมพูชา และมาเลเซีย
