ในการทำวิจัยเชิงปริมาณ ซึ่งต้องทำการแจกแบบสอบถามบางครั้งผู้ให้ข้อมูลอาจจะอยู่ในภาวะที่เร่งรีบหรือไม่เต็มใจที่จะกรอกข้อมูล ทำให้แบบสอบถามที่จะนำมาทำการวิเคราะห์นั้นไม่ตรงกับความเป็นจริงของผู้ให้ข้อมูล
ในการทำวิจัยเป็นภาษาอังกฤษ ซึ่งมีศัพท์ที่เรายังไม่เข้าใจและยากต่อการใช้ในการทำงานวิจัยเป็นภาษาอังกฤษ
