ในปี 2548 รัฐบาลจีนได้บริจาคเรือตรวจการณ์ขนาด 46 เมตรจำนวน 4 ลำ เรือตรวจการณ์ขนาด 20 เมตรจำนวน 3 ลำ และเรือลำเลียงสัมภาระอีก 1 ลำให้กองทัพเรือกัมพูชาเพื่อช่วยเหลือในการป้องกันการกระทำผิดกฏหมายทางทะเลและลาดตระเวนปราบโจรสลัด
