บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ในการวิจัยเพื่อหาสมการทางคณิตศาสตร์และตัวแปรทางระบาดวิทยาของผู้ป่วยจากข้อมูลการระบาดย้อนหลัง และนำสมการที่ได้มาพยากรณ์และคาดการณ์จำนวนประชากรที่ป่วย ประชากรที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ คือ ผู้ป่วยนอกของโรงพยาบาลธัญบุรีตั้งแต่วันที่ 31 ตุลาคม 2552 – วันที่ 30 กันยายน 2556 รวมจำนวนผู้เข้ารับการรักษาทั้งหมด 5,331 คน โดยนำข้อมูลทะเบียนประวัติของผู้ป่วย(OPD card)จากฐานข้อมูลของโรงพยาบาลและมาจัดกระทำข้อมูล ใช้หลักการของ Data mining เพื่อให้ได้ข้อมูลที่เหมาะสมและนำมาเรียนรู้โดยใช้โปรแกรมทางพันธุศาสตร์เป็นเครื่องมือ เพื่อให้ได้สมการทางคณิตศาสตร์สำหรับการพยากรณ์(คาดการณ์)
