บทคัดย่อ
​การศึกษาองค์ประกอบทางเคมีในต้นเถาคันแดง มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาวิธีการสกัดสารจากต้นเถาคันแดง เพื่อศึกษาองค์ประกอบทางเคมีเบื้องต้น ในสารสกัดเมทานอลจากต้นเถาคันแดง โดยทดสอบสารอินทรีย์ 7 ประเภท ได้แก่ แอนทราควิโนน เทอร์พีนอยด์ ฟลาโวนอยด์ ซาโปนิน แทนนิน แอลคาลอยด์ และคาร์ดิแอกไกลโคไซด์ และเพื่อศึกษาวิธีการแยกสารให้บริสุทธิ์ โดยเทคนิคทางด้านโครมาโทกราฟี จากผลการทดสอบพบว่า สามารถสกัดสารจากต้นเถาคันแดง 273.26 กรัม คิดเป็นร้อยละ 27.32 ของน้ำหนักแห้ง และนำไปตรวจสอบหาสารอินทรีย์ทั้ง 7 ชนิด ซึ่งพบสารอินทรีย์ในกลุ่มของ เทอร์พีนอยด์ ฟลาโวนอยด์ ซาโปนิน แทนนิน แอลคาลอยด์ จากนั้นนำสารสกัดมาแยกสารออกเป็นส่วน ๆ ด้วยคอลัมน์โครมาโทกราฟีและแยกสารให้บริสุทธิ์ด้วย TLC โดยการผ่านคอลัมน์ 2 ครั้ง ซึ่งพบว่าในระบบ B4 (faction 19 – 26) เป็นสารบริสุทธิ์ พิสูจน์ได้จากการนำไปเปรียบเทียบกับสารตัวอย่าง sticmastorol และเพื่อให้ได้ประสิทธิผลที่มีความน่าเชื่อถือ ผู้วิจัยจึงนำสารสกัดบริสุทธิ์จากต้นเถาคันแดงไปพิสูจน์โครงสร้างที่แน่ชัดโดยใช้เครื่อง NMR เมื่อวิเคราะห์แล้วพบว่าเป็นสารกลุ่ม sticmastorol 116(A)(B) งานวิจัยในครั้งนี้สนับสนุนสรรพคุณทางเภสัชของการนำเถาคันแดงไปใช้ประโยชน์ในการรักษาโรคต่อไป
