การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาสาเหตุการไม่ส่งการบ้านของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 โรงเรียนวัดราชโอรส ดำเนินการโดยใช้กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 โรงเรียนวัดราชโอรส เขตจอมทอง กรุงเทพมหานคร จำนวน 53 คน จำแนกเป็นเพศหญิงและเพศชาย และระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2/1-2/11 เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยประกอบด้วย ได้แก่ แบบสอบถามซึ่งเป็นข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับสถานภาพของผู้ตอบแบบสอบถาม ซึ่งเป็นแบบตรวจสอบรายการ (Check list) วิเคราะห์โดย การหาค่าร้อยละ และเป็นข้อมูลความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับเหตุผลที่เกิดจากพฤติกรรมการไม่ส่งการบ้านซึ่งเป็นแบบมาตราส่วนประมาณค่า (Rating Scale) 5 วิเคราะห์โดยการหาค่าเฉลี่ย ( )ข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับสถานภาพของผู้ตอบแบบสอบถาม ระดับและค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (S.D.) ผลการวิจัยพบว่า
จากผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 โรงเรียนวัดราชโอรส จำนวน 53 คน จำแนกเป็นเพศหญิง จำนวน 32 คน ซึ่งคิดเป็นร้อยละ 60 และเพศชาย จำนวน 21 คน ซึ่งคิดเป็นร้อยละ 40 เมื่อพิจารณาแต่ละรายงาน พบว่า อยู่ในระดับ มากที่สุด จำนวน 1 รายการ อยู่ในระดับ มาก จำนวน 3 รายการ อยู่ในระดับปานกลาง จำนวน 7 รายการ อยู่ในระดับ น้อย จำนวน 3 รายการ สำหรับรายการที่มีคะแนนเฉลี่ยสูงสุด 3 ระดับ มีดังนี้ อันดับที่ 1 คือ การบ้านเยอะเกินไปอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด ( = 4.55) อันดับที่ 2 คือการบ้านไม่น่าสนใจอยู่ในระดับมาก ( = 3.72) อันดับที่ 3 คือ เวลาน้อยเกินไปในการาทำงานอยู่ในระดับมาก ( = 3.57) สำหรับรายการที่คะแนนเฉลี่ยน้อยที่สุด 3 ระดับ มีดังนี้ อันดับที่ 1 คือ ไปธุระกับผู้ปกครองอยู่ในระดับ น้อย ( = 1.87) อันดับที่ 2 คือ สมุดหายอยู่ในระดับน้อย ( = 1.92) อันดับที่ 3 คือ ลืมนำสมุดไปโรงเรียนอยู่ในระดับน้อย ( = 2.43)
