ปัจจุบันนี้ ประเทศไทยมีศักยภาพการผลิตและส่งออกสินค้าอาหารฮาลาลสูงขึ้นโดยเฉพาะการที่ไทยเข้าสู่ประชาคมเศรษฐกิจอาเซียนในปี2012จึงมีโอกาสขยายตลาดส่งออกอาหารฮาลาลไปประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียนได้เพิ่มมากขึ้น

โดยเฉพาะตลาดอินโดนีเซีย(อินโดนีเซีย : Indonesia)หรือชื่อทางการคือสาธารณรัฐอินโดนีเซีย(อินโดนีเซีย : Republic of Indonesia)นับเป็นประเทศที่มีหมู่เกาะมากที่สุดในโลกทำให้อินโดนีเซียมีพื้นที่ติดต่อกับเส้นทางหลักในการขนส่งสินค้าทางทะเลของในโลกได้โดยตรงรวมถึงระบบโทรคมนาคมสื่อสารของประเทศอินโดนีเซียซึ่งเป็นประเทศที่มีระบบโทรคมนาคมสื่อสารดีประเทศหนึ่งที่มีสายโทรศัพท์ครอบคลุมทั่วประเทศ

ปัจจุบันทั้งประเทศมีท่าเรือพาณิชย์มากกว่า300แห่งซึ่งท่าเรือสำคัญได้แก่ท่าเรือTanjung Priokอยู่ในนครจาการ์ตาเป็นท่าเรือใหญ่ที่สุดของประเทศ

2) การอำนวยความสะดวกด้านภาษี

3) การคืนอากร/การยกเว้นภาษีมูลค่าเพิ่มสำหรับการผลิตเพื่อส่งออก

4) การให้สิทธิพิเศษแก่อุตสาหกรรมใน Bonded Zone

5) การให้สิทธิพิเศษแก่อุตสาหกรรมใน Integrated Economic

6) Development Zones (Penanaman Medal Asing: PMA)

โดยอุตสาหกรรมหลายประเภทที่อยู่ในรายการที่รัฐบาลให้ความสำคัญเป็นอันดับแรกๆได้แก่อาหารและเครื่องดื่มซึ่งจากผลการวิจัยปีพ.ศ.2554ของWorld Bankในรายงาน“Doing Business: Indonesia”กล่าวว่าประเทศอินโดนีเซียถูกจัดอันดับระดับความง่ายในการลงทุนธุรกิจอันดับที่121จาก183ประเทศซึ่งได้ว่าน่าสนใจสำหรับนักลงทุนเป็นอย่างมาก
