งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อพัฒนาหลักสูตรฝึกอบรมเพื่อเพิ่มความฉลาดทางอารมณ์ของนักเรียนสหกิจศึกษา และมหาวิทยาลัยหอการค้าไทย และเพื่อประเมินหลักสูตรฝึกอบรมพัฒนา ตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัยคือ การศึกษาสหกรณ์นักเรียนหอการค้ามหาวิทยาลัยของประเทศไทยของปีการศึกษาแบ่งออกเป็น 2 กลุ่ม ได้แก่ ตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการศึกษานำร่องเป็นนักศึกษาสหกิจศึกษาภาคเรียนที่ 1 ปีการศึกษา 2558, จำนวน 30 คนและกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการทดลองหลักสูตรฝึกอบรม ภาคเรียน 2 ปีการศึกษา 2558, จำนวน30 คน โดยงานวิจัยนี้ แบ่งเป็น 2 ขั้นตอนขั้นตอนที่ 1 หลักสูตรฝึกอบรมการพัฒนากับแนวคิดของไทเลอร์ (Tyler, 1949) เป็นการวิจัยกึ่งทดลองการ (ออกแบบการทดลองเสมือน) ประกอบด้วยสี่ระยะ: การศึกษาข้อมูลพื้นฐานการสร้างหลักสูตรฝึกอบรม ทดลองใช้หลักสูตรและการประเมินหลักสูตรฝึกอบรมระยะที่ 2 ประเมินผลการใช้หลักสูตรการฝึกอบรม ด้วยรูปแบบ CIPP (Stufflebeam, 2003)
