กามภูมิ มี ๖ กัณฑ์ คือ
๑.นรกภูมิ เป็นแดนนรก
๒.ดิรัจฉานภูมิ เป็นแดนของสัตว์ที่เจริญตามขวาง
๓.เปตภูมิ เป็นแดนของเปรตที่เคยเป็นมนุษย์และทำความชั่วเกิดเป็นเปรต
๔.อสุรกายภูมิ เป็นแดนของยักษ์มารหรือผีที่คอยหลอกมนุษย์ให้ตกใจกลัว
๕.มนุสสภูมิ เป็นแดนของมนุษย์
๖.ฉกามาพจร เป็นแดนของเทวดาที่ยังเกี่ยวข้องในกาม

๒. รูปภูมิ - พรหมมีรูป ๑๖ ชั้น เรียกว่า “โสฬสพรหม” ชั้นที่ ๑๖ คือ อกนิฏฐาภูมิ
