ประเด็นนี้ต่างหากล่ะคะ ที่ตัวหนังพูดค่อนข้างชัดเจน ผ่านชีวิตของนางเอก แอนนา สก็อตต์ ที่ไขว่คว้าชื่อเสียง การเป็นนางเอกอันดับท้อปของฮอลลีวู้ด แต่ต้องแลกด้วยความทุกข์ ทั้งการอดอาหารเกือบทั้งชีวิต การศัลยกรรม การไม่มีเพื่อน ไม่มีคนที่รักเธอจริงๆที่ตัวเธอ มีแต่คนที่หวังจะเอาชื่อเสียง ความดังของเธอเป็นสะพาน จนกระทั่ง...เธอได้มาพบกับวิลเลียม หนุ่มบ้านๆ ชีวิตจืดชืด เรียบง่ายเสียจนทำให้ แอนนารู้สึกว่า การได้ใช้ชีวิตอยู่กับวิลเลียม เหมือนได้นอนพักกายหนุนตักคนรัก อาบแดดอุ่นๆ บนม้านั่งในสวนสวย เหมือนฉากจบของหนัง

นอกจากนี้ ยังมีประเด็นรองๆอื่นๆอีกหลายประเด็นที่สอดแทรกเข้ามาผ่านเรื่องราว ความสัมพันธ์ของตัวละคร ที่โดดเด่นอีกอันหนึ่ง คือ มิตรภาพของกลุ่มเพื่อนวิลเลียม ที่ไม่ว่าใครในกลุ่มจะเผชิญเรื่องเลวร้ายแค่ไหน งี่เง่าอะไรกับชีวิตมา เพื่อนๆก็พร้อมจะเคียงข้าง ช่วยเหลือ ปลอบโยน ไปจนถึงช่วยลุ้นให้เพื่อนสมหวัง ความน่ารักของกลุ่มเพื่อนวิลเลียมนี่แหละ ที่เป็นส่วนหนึ่ง ให้แอนนาหลงรักวิลเลียมอย่างถอนใจไม่ขึ้น ฉากที่สะท้อนได้ชัดเจนที่สุด คือ ฉากทานอาหารเย็นที่บ้านเพื่อนวิลเลียม คนที่ภรรยานั่งรถเข็น เรื่องราวการสนทนา การเล่นเกมกับบราวนี่ มาถึงจุดไคลแม็กซ์ตรงที่แอนนาเล่าความรันทดของชีวิตเธอ เพื่อชิงบราวนี่ชิ้นสุดท้าย แต่ความที่เรื่องราวของเธอมันเศร้าจัด ทำเอาทุกคนบนโต๊ะอาหารอึ้งกันไปหมด เพื่อนของวิลเลียมที่เป็นเจ้าของบ้าน จึงแก้ปัญหาด้วยการแกล้งบอกว่า ไม่สำเร็จหรอก แล้วชิงเอาบราวนี่ไป เราว่าบทตรงนี้เขียนได้ดีมากๆ แสดงถึงความรักของเพื่อนที่ต้องการถนอมน้ำใจ ถนอมความรู้สึก เปลี่ยนบรรยากาศของวงสนทนาให้ไม่หดหู่จนเกินไป แล้วก็แน่นอน..ฉากง้อแอนนา ที่ทุกคนอัดเข้าไปในรถเพื่อจะพาวิลเลียมไปง้อแอนนา เป็นอะไรที่สุดๆ ทั้งน่ารัก อบอวลด้วยมุขตลก แต่ก็สัมผัสได้ถึงมิตรภาพความเป็นเพื่อนที่แต่ละคนมีต่อกัน ถึงหนังจะออกไปทางโลกสวย แต่ก็นับเป็นหนังที่วางบท วางคาแรกเตอร์ของตัวละครมาได้กลมกล่อมทีเดียว
