บทคัดย่อ
การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเพื่อศึกษาพฤติกรรมการใช้จ่ายเบี้ยยังชีพของผู้สูงอายุ ในเขตเทศบาลเมืองสะเดา ตำบลสะเดา อำเภอสะเดา จังหวัดสงขลา เป็นการวิจัยเชิงพรรณนา (Descriptive research) โดยกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการศึกษามีจำนวน 400 คน ซึ่งเป็นผู้สูงอายุที่อาศัยอยู่ในเขตเทศบาลเมืองสะเดา ตำบลสะเดา อำเภอสะเดา จังหวัดสงขลา เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล คือ แบบสอบถามที่วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการแจกแจงความถี่ (Frequency) และค่าร้อยละ (Percent)
ผลจากการศึกษาพบว่า
1. ผลจากการศึกษาข้อมูลส่วนบุคคลของกลุ่มตัวอย่างผู้สูงอายุ พบว่า กลุ่มตัวอย่างผู้สูงอายุส่วนใหญ่เป็นเพศหญิง มีช่วงอายุอยู่ที่ 60-69 ปี มีสถานภาพสมรสมากกว่าโสด มีผู้สูงอายุที่ได้รับเบี้ยยังชีพโครงการอื่นจำนวน 11 คน เบี้ยยังชีพโครงการอื่นที่ผู้สูงอายุได้รับเป็นเบี้ยยังชีพผู้พิการโดยจะได้รับเบี้ยยังชีพเพิ่มคนละ 800 บาท จำนวนเบี้ยยังชีพที่ได้รับส่วนใหญ่ 600 บาท โดยส่วนใหญ่ผู้สูงอายุยังมีการประกอบอาชีพ อาชีพส่วนใหญ่ที่ประกอบคืออาชีพทำสวน ผู้สูงอายุส่วนใหญ่ไม่มีเงินออม ไม่มีหนี้สิน แต่มีปัญหาสุขภาพ เช่น เบาหวาน ความดัน หูตึง ต้อกระจก เป็นต้น และส่วนใหญ่ผู้สูงอายุจะอาศัยอยู่กับคู่สมรส รองลงมาอาศัยอยู่กับบุตรหลาน
2. ผลจากการศึกษาพฤติกรรมการใช้จ่ายเบี้ยยังชีพของผู้สูงอายุ พบว่า ผู้สูงอายุส่วนใหญ่จะให้ความสำคัญในการใช้จ่ายในเรื่องของอาหารมากที่สุด รองลงมาเป็นการใช้จ่ายในด้านยารักษาโรค ค่าใช้จ่ายอื่นๆ ค่าสาธารณูปโภค (ค่าน้ำ,ค่าไฟ,ค่าโทรศัพท์) ค่าที่พักอาศัยและค่าเครื่องนุ่งห่ม ตามลำดับ วิธีการรับเบี้ยยังชีพของผู้สูงอายุส่วนใหญ่จะรับเบี้ยยังชีพด้วยการโอนเงินเข้าบัญชีธนาคาร รองลงมาคือรับด้วยตนเองและมอบอำนาจ เบี้ยยังชีพที่ได้มาส่วนใหญ่จะใช้จ่ายเต็มจำนวน และมีบางส่วนที่จ่ายไม่หมด โดยในส่วนที่จ่ายไม่หมดจะจัดการโดยการเก็บไว้กับตัวและฝากธนาคาร มีบางกลุ่มที่เก็บโดยการฝากสัจจะหมู่บ้าน ส่วนใหญ่คิดว่าเบี้ยยังชีพที่ได้รับไม่เหมาะสม และคิดว่าโครงการเบี้ยยังชีพผู้สูงอายุมีประโยชน์มาก เป็นส่วนใหญ่ กลุ่มตัวอย่างมีการแสดงความเห็นในเรื่องของความต้องการให้เพิ่มจำนวนเบี้ยยังชีพอีก เนื่องจากมีรายได้น้อยแต่ค่าครองชีพสูง รองลงมาคือต้องการให้เทศบาลเมืองสะเดาแจกเครื่องอุปโภค/บริโภคเหมือนที่ผ่านมาและต้องการให้มีการตรวจสุขภาพตาม ณ ที่ทำการชุมชนเพื่อความสะดวกในการใช้บริการด้านสุขภาพ
