ศิลปนิพนธ์นี้ได้แนวทางการออกแบบเครื่องประดับโดยได้รับแรงบันดาลใจมาจาก เครื่องถมเมืองนคร ซึ่งเป็นศิลปหัตถกรรมพื้นบ้านของจังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราช ปัจจุบันกระแสนิยมที่มีต่อเครื่องถม และเครื่องประดับถมลดน้อยลงไปเนื่องจากมีรูปแบบที่โบราณไม่มีความหลากหลาย และมีโอกาสที่จะทำให้ศิลปหัตถกรรมที่มีคุณค่าเลือนหายไป ดังนั้นผู้วิจัยจึงต้องการสืบสานศิลปหัตถกรรมไทยนี้ไว้ โดยการคงความเป็นหัตถกรรม ออกแบบรูปแบบใหม่โดยได้แรงบันดาลใจจากดอกราชพฤกษ์ ดอกไม้ประจำจังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราช และหัวนโม เพื่อกลุ่มคนทำงาน อายุ 23 – 27 ปี ผลิตเครื่องประดับ 1 คอลเลคชั่น ประกอบด้วย จี้ ต่างหู แหวน นอกจากจะใส่เพื่อเพิ่มความสวยงามแล้วและความมั่นใจของผู้สวมใส่แล้ว ยังเป็นการช่วยสืบสานหัตถกรรมไทยให้เป็นที่รู้จักมากยิ่งขึ้น และเป็นกาเพิ่มทางเลือกให้กับกลุ่มผู้หญิงทำงานในสังคมเมืองอีกด้วย
