การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีความมุ่งหมายเพื่อศึกษาพฤติกรรมของนักท่องเที่ยวชาวไทยที่มีต่อแหล่งท่องเที่ยวภายในมหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลศรีวิชัย วิทยาเขตตรัง โดยกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัยเป็นนักท่องเที่ยวชาวไทยที่เดินทางมาเที่ยวยังแหล่งท่องเที่ยว จำนวน 100 คน โดยใช้แบบสอบถามเป็นเครื่องมือในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลทางสถิติใช้โปรแกรม SPSS และข้อมูลจากการสัมภาษณ์นักท่องเที่ยว นำเสนอข้อมูลในรูปแบบการบรรยายเชิงพรรณนา
ผลการวิจัยสามารถสรุปได้ว่านักท่องเที่ยวชาวไทยที่เข้ามาเที่ยวยังแหล่งท่องเที่ยว โดยส่วนใหญ่เป็นเพศชาย อยู่ในช่วงอายุ 21-25 ปี มีสถานภาพโสด การศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี มีอาชีพประกอบกิจการส่วนตัว รายได้ต่อเดือนอยู่ในช่วง 10,000-29,999 บาท จากการสัมภาษณ์นักท่องเที่ยวจำนวน 10 คนสามารถสรุปได้ว่า นักท่องเที่ยวส่วนใหญ่เดินทางมาเที่ยวเพราะหาดราชมงคลมีพื้นที่กว้างขว้างและร่มรื่น เหมาะแก่การพักผ่อน และจากการตอบแบบสอบถามสามารถสรุปได้ว่า นักท่องเที่ยวส่วนใหญ่มีความพึงพอใจอย่างยิ่งต่อแหล่งท่องเที่ยวภายในมหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลศรีวิชัย วิทยาเขตตรัง คิดเป็นร้อยละ 43 ซึ่งสิ่งที่ทำให้นักท่องเที่ยวมีความพึงพอใจเกิดจากปัจจัยต่างๆภายในแหล่งท่องเที่ยวที่นักท่องเที่ยวได้สัมผัสตรงกับแรงจูงใจก่อนมาเที่ยวที่นักท่องเที่ยวได้คาดหวังเอาไว้
