ความเป็นมาและความสำคัญของปัญหา
ดังนั้น ผู้วิจัยจึงสนใจศึกษาภาวะสุขภาพของผู้สูงอายุในชุมชนแม่นนท์
เพื่อนำข้อมูลพฤติกรรมการส่งเสริมสุขภาพ มาเป็นแนวทางในการวางแผน และพัฒนารูปแบบการจัดกิจกรรมส่งเสริมสุขภาพของผู้สูงอายุได้ตรงกับปัญหาและความต้องการของผู้สูงอายุ ส่งเสริมให้ผู้สูงอายุมีคุณภาพชีวิตที่ดีต่อไป

จากข้อมูลของโรงพยาบาลส่งเสริมสุขภาพแม่นนท์ในปีงบประมาณ 2558 พบว่า มีประชากรในเขตรับผิดชอบทั้งหมด 6,458 คน และมีประชากรอายุ 60 ปีขึ้นไป จำนวน 890 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 13.78

สำหรับสถานการณ์ผู้สูงอายุ จังหวัดอุดรธานีมีจำนวนผู้สูงอายุประมาณ 194,375 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 12.21 และคาดว่าในปี 2568 จังหวัดอุดรธานี จะมีประชากรผู้สูงอายุถึงร้อยละ 16.5 หากมีผู้สูงอายุเกินร้อยละ 10 เรียกสังคม Aged Society (กอบเกียรติ กาญจนะ, 2557)

ในจำนวนดังกล่าวเป็นผู้สูงอายุในชุมชนแม่นนท์มากเป็นอันดับหนึ่งของตำบลหนองไผ่ โดยพบว่ามีผู้สูงอายุจำนวน 158 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 17.75 ของผู้สูงอายุทั้งหมดแบ่งเป็นผู้สูงอายุเพศหญิงจำนวน 86 คน เพศชาย 72 คน และเป็นผู้สูงอายุที่เจ็บป่วยด้วยโรคเรื้อรัง ได้แก่ โรคเบาหวาน จำนวน 23 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 14.55 โรคความดันโลหิตสูง จำนวน 19 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 12.02 โรคหลอดเลือดสมอง จำนวน 5 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 3.16 (ทะเบียนผู้ป่วยโรคเรื้อรัง, 2558)

วิธีดำเนินการวิจัย

กลุ่มตัวอย่าง ที่ใช้ในการศึกษาวิจัยครั้งนี้ได้มาจากกลุ่มประชาการ
จำนวน 102 คน ใช้เป็นกลุ่มตัวอย่างทั้งหมด
