บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาหาความสัมพันธ์ปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการท่องเที่ยวประเทศญี่ปุ่นของนักท่องเที่ยวชาวไทยโดยใช้ข้อมูลแบบอนุกรมเวลา ( Time Series ) ตั้งแต่เดือน มกราคม ปี 2010 ถึงเดือนธันวาคม ปี 2014 ได้ทำการศึกษา 2 ประเด็นด้วยกันคือ การท่องเที่ยวประเทศญี่ปุ่นของนักท่องเที่ยวชาวไทยเพศชายและการท่องเที่ยวประเทศญี่ปุ่นของนักท่องเที่ยวชาวไทยเพศหญิง โดยมีปัจจัยต่างๆที่มีอิทธิพลได้แก่ รายได้ต่อหัวของนักท่องเที่ยวชาวไทย อัตราแลกเปลี่ยนระหว่างเงินบาทต่อเงินเยน อัตราดอกเบี้ยของประเทศไทย อัตราเงินเฟ้อของประเทศญี่ปุ่น ผลการศึกษาพบว่าปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อการท่องเที่ยวประเทศญี่ปุ่นของนักท่องเที่ยวชาวไทยเพศชาย ได้แก่ อัตราแลกเปลี่ยนระหว่างเงินบาทต่อเงินเยน และปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อการท่องเที่ยวประเทศญี่ปุ่นของนักท่องเที่ยวชาวไทยเพศหญิง ได้แก่ รายได้ต่อหัวของนักท่องเที่ยวชาวไทย อัตราแลกเปลี่ยนระหว่างเงินบาทต่อเงินเยนและอัตราเงินเฟ้อของประเทศญี่ปุ่น
