งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อการศึกษาประชากรสุนัขจรจัดในชุมชน ปัญหาที่เกิดจากสุนัขจรจัดและความคิดเห็นของประชากรต่อสุนัขจรจัดในชุมชน เก็บข้อมูลโดยการใช้แบบสอบถามจำนวน 20 ชุด พบว่าทุกคนเคยเลี้ยงสุนัขทั้งหมดสำหรับปัญหาสุนัขจรจัดที่พบบ่อยคือการคุ้ยเขี่ยขยะทำให้เกิดความสกปรก รองลงมาคือการถ่ายอุจจาระเรี่ยราดและอื่น ๆ
ในเบื้องต้นควรมีโครงการระยะสั้นเพื่อแก้ปัญหาสุนัขจรจัด เช่น การควบคุมประชากรสุนัขจรจัดการบริการตรวจรักษาฉีดวัคซีนแก่สุนัขจรจัดและการปลูกจิตสำนึกแก่ผู้เลี้ยงสุนัขไม่นำสุนัขของตนไปทิ้ง
