ต่อจากนั้นเด็กเลี้ยงเเกะก็เเกล้งหลอกให้ชาวบ้านวิ่งหน้าตื่น เช่นเดิมได้อีก ๒- ๓ ครั้ง

จนกระทั่งวันหนึ่งมีหมาป่ามาไล่กินเเกะจริงๆ คราวนี้เด็กเลี้ยงเเกะ ตะโกนขอความช่วยเหลือจนคอเเหบ คอเเห้ง พวกชาวบ้านก็ไม่มาเพราะคิดว่าเด็กหลอก
