รัฐบาลได้ปรับปรุงแผนการสนับสนุนทางการเงินเพื่อการพัฒนาเด็ก (Baby Bonus) ประกาศใช้ครั้งแรกเมื่อวันที่ 1 เม.ย. 2544 และได้ปรับปรุงอย่างต่อเนื่องทุก 3-4 ปี โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสนับสนุนให้ชาวสิงคโปร์มีบุตร โดยรัฐจะช่วยแบ่งเบาภาระทางการเงินให้แก่บิดามารดา แบ่งออกเป็น 2 ส่วน ได้แก่
เงินสด (cash gift) สำหรับการคลอดบุตรคนที่ 1 และ 2 จำนวน 4,000 ดอลลาร์สิงคโปร์/คน และเงินสดสำหรับบุตรคนที่ 3 และ 4 จำนวน 6,000 ดอลลาร์สิงคโปร์/คน
บัญชีเงินฝากเพื่อการพัฒนาเด็ก (Children Development Account - CDA) หากบิดามารดาเปิดบัญชีเงินฝากเพื่อเป็นทุนการศึกษาของบุตรที่เกิดหลังวันที่ 17 ส.ค. 2551 รัฐบาลจะสมทบทุนให้อีกในจำนวนเท่ากัน (a dollar-for-dollar matching) โดย CDA สามารถนำไปใช้จ่ายศูนย์รับเลี้ยงเด็กอ่อนและค่าเล่าเรียนในโรงเรียนที่จดทะเบียนกับกระทรวงศึกษาธิการสิงคโปร์ และใช้จ่ายค่ารักษาพยาบาลของบุตรได้ทุกประเภท
วันที่ 20 ส.ค. 2551 สิงคโปร์ประกาศใช้นโยบาย “Marriage & Parenthood Package”เพื่อช่วยกระตุ้นให้ประชาชนแต่งงานและผลิตทรัพยากรมนุษย์ให้ประเทศ โดยให้สิทธิประโยชน์ต่าง ๆ แบ่งออกเป็น 4 ด้าน ได้แก่
