ประเพณีตักบาตรดอกไม้ ร่วมถวายดอกไมเข้าพรรษา เพื่อถวายเป็นพุทธบูชาเมื่อดอกเข้าพรรษาเบ่งบาน เป็นสัญญาณให้รู้ว่าช่วงเวลาสำคัญของชาวพุทธมาถึงแล้วมาร่วมประเพณีตักบาตรดอกไม้กับชาวสระบุรี ที่เชื่อกันว่า...ถ้าใครได้ถวายดอกเข้าพรรษาแล้วจะได้กุศลมากมายนัก ประเพณีตักบาตรดอกไม้ เป็นประเพณีที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์ของชาวอำเภอพระพุทธบาท จัดขึ้นปีละครั้ง ณ วัดพระพุทธบาทราชวรมหาวิหาร ในวันแรม 1 ค่ำ เดือน 8 ซึ่งเป็นวันเข้าพรรษา และหาชมได้เพียงแห่งเดียวในประเทศไทยประเพณีตักบาตรดอกไม้นี้จะมีขึ้นในช่วงบ่ายของวันเข้าพรรษา เริ่มต้นจากขบวนแห่งพระพุทธรูปที่งดงามและขบวนพระภิกษุที่ออกบิณฑบาตรเป็นสาย เพื่อรับดอกไม้จากพุทธศาสนิกชนที่มารอค่อยกันอย่างพร้อมเพรียง แล้วกลับลงมาสู่พระอุโบสถ เพื่อทำพิธีสวดมนต์อธิษฐานเข้าสู่พรรษา
มีเกร็ดเล่าว่า ในการตักบาตรดอกไม้นั้น จะนิยมใช้ดอกเข้าพรรษามากกว่าอกไม้ชนิดอื่นชาวบ้านจะพากันไปเก็บดอกเข้าพรรษาที่ขึ้นตามไหล่เขาหลังจากทำบุญในตอนเช้า เพื่อนำมาใส่บาตรในตอนบ่าย ดอกเข้าพรรษาจะมีลักษณะคล้ายกับกระทงชาย ซึ่งจะออกดอกเบ่งบานเฉพาะช่วงเข้าพรรษาเท่านั้น มีทั้งสีเหลือง สีขาว และสีม่วงที่หายาก จนเชื่อกันว่า หากใครนำดอกเข้าพรรษาสีม่วงมาตักบาตรจะได้กุศลแรงกว่าสีอื่น หลังจากร่วมประเพณีตักบาตรดอกไม้ที่วัดพระพุทธบาทแล้วต้องไม่พลาดการนมัสการรอยพระพุทธบาทในพระมณฑป ซึ่งเชื่อกันว่าเป็นสิริมงคลสูงสุดสำหรับผู้ที่ได้มาสักการะ จนมีคำกล่าวว่าหากใครได้มาบูชาครบ 7 ครั้งแล้วจะได้ขึ้นสวรรค์ชั้นดาวดึงส์เลยทีเดียว
