เรื่องนี้ถือได้ว่าเป็นโศกนาฏกรรม ที่ต้องจารึกในประวัติศาสตร์ไทย เมื่อเช้ามืดวันที่ 6 ตุลาคม พ.ศ. 2519 ที่เรารู้จักกันว่า ‘ตุลามหาวิปโยค’ หรือ ‘วันฆ่านกพิราบ’ ขณะที่กลุ่มนักศึกษากำลังชุมนุมประท้วง เพื่อยื่นข้อเรียกร้องทางการเมือง ทันใดนั้นก็มีเหล่าทหาร ตำรวจจำนวนมาก บุกเข้าไปในมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ เพื่อระดมยิง และเผานักศึกษาทั้งเป็น อย่างโหดเหี้ยมนับร้อยศพ..

เมื่อหลายปีก่อน นักศึกษาคณะศิลปศาสตร์ ชั้นปีที่ 2 คนหนึ่งเล่าว่า ตอนเย็นๆ จะไม่มีใครกล้าขึ้นลิฟท์แดงคนเดียว เพราะขึ้นชื่อว่าหลอนมาก และในช่วงตอนเย็นๆ ก็จะไม่มีใครกล้าเดินผ่านลิฟท์แดงเลยด้วยซ้ำ ยิ่งตอนที่ประตูลิฟท์เปิดค้างไว้ จะไม่มีใครกล้ามองเข้าไป เพราะเคยมีคนเล่าว่า เคยมองเข้าไปเห็นภาพศพจมกองเลือด นอนทับๆ กันอยู่ในลิฟท์เป็นตั้งๆ เลย ได้ยินแล้วก็เสียวสันหลังมาก..
