การวิจัยมีวัตถุประสงค์ 1) เพื่อศึกษาสภาพและปัญหาการบริหารสถานศึกษาตามแนวปรัชญาของเศรษฐกิจพอเพียงในโรงเรียนบ้านโป่งรู อำเภอป่าซาง จังหวัดลำพูน 2) เพื่อศึกษาแนวทางการพัฒนา การบริหารสถานศึกษาตามแนวปรัชญาของเศรษฐกิจพอเพียงในโรงเรียนบ้านโป่งรู อำเภอป่าซาง จังหวัดลำพูน โดยศึกษาใน 4 ด้าน คือ ด้านการบริหารจัดการสถานศึกษา ด้านหลักสูตรและการจัดการเรียนการสอน ด้านการจัดกิจกรรมพัฒนาผู้เรียน และด้านพัฒนาบุคลากรสถานศึกษา กลุ่มผู้ให้ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ผู้บริหารสถานศึกษา คณะครู และคณะกรรมการสถานศึกษา รวมจำนวน 15 คน ทำการรวบรวมข้อมูลจากเอกสารการสังเกต การสัมภาษณ์ และการประชุมสนทนากลุ่ม ผู้วิจัยได้แยกแยะข้อมูลให้เป็นหมวดหมู่ และทำการวิเคราะห์เชิงพรรณนาด้วยวิธีบรรยาย และอภิปราย
ผลการวิจัย พบว่า สภาพและปัญหาการบริหารสถานศึกษาตามแนวปรัชญาของเศรษฐกิจพอเพียงในโรงเรียนบ้านโป่งรู อำเภอป่าซาง จังหวัดลำพูน ด้านการบริหารจัดการสถานศึกษา ได้กำหนดนโยบายโดยจัดทำแผนปฏิบัติงาน พบปัญหาขาดการนิเทศ ติดตาม ปรับปรุงพัฒนาให้ดีขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่องและชุมชนมีส่วนร่วมน้อย ด้านหลักสูตรและการจัดการเรียนการสอน มีการจัดทำหลักสูตรและการจัดการเรียนการสอน บูรณาการ นำไปประยุกต์ใช้ให้เป็นวิถีชีวิต พบปัญหาการมุ่งผลสัมฤทธิ์มากเกินไป มีเวลาในการจัดการเรียนการสอนนั้นไม่เพียงพอ ขาดสื่อ อุปกรณ์และงบประมาณที่เพียงพอ ด้านการจัดกิจกรรมพัฒนาผู้เรียน จัดให้มีการแนะแนว และระบบดูแลช่วยเหลือผู้เรียน จัดให้มีกิจกรรมนักเรียนทั้งกิจกรรมลูกเสือ เนตรนารี ชุมนุม ส่งเสริมในการจัดกิจกรรมเพื่อสังคมและสาธารณะประโยชน์ พบปัญหาขาดความต่อเนื่องในการจัดกิจกรรม และขาดแคลนบุคลากรที่ชำนาญกิจกรรม ด้านพัฒนาบุคลากรสถานศึกษา บุคลากรได้มีการพัฒนาตนเอง โดยการฝึกอบรมสัมมนาเป็นบางครั้ง สามารถนำไปปฏิบัติตามแนวปรัชญาของเศรษฐกิจพอเพียง พบปัญหาบุคลากรขาดความรู้ความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับปรัชญาเศรษฐกิจพอเพียงอย่างแท้จริง มีภาระงานมาก ไม่มีวิทยากรที่มีความรู้ความสามารถโดยตรง แนวทางการพัฒนาการบริหารสถานศึกษาตามแนวปรัชญาของเศรษฐกิจพอเพียงในโรงเรียนบ้านโป่งรู อำเภอป่าซาง จังหวัดลำพูน ด้านการบริหารจัดการสถานศึกษา ควรมีการติดตามการดำเนินงานหรือมีแบบประเมินก่อนหลัง มีแผนการนิเทศให้เป็นรูปธรรม ดำเนินงานให้ต่อเนื่องด้านหลักสูตรและการจัดการเรียนการสอน ควรจัดทำหน่วยการเรียนรู้ปรัชญาเศรษฐกิจพอเพียงที่เน้นกระบวนการคิดวิเคราะห์ คิดสังเคราะห์ มีวิจารณญาณ มีความคิดสร้างสรรค์ คิดไตร่ตรองอย่างชัดเจน แล้วบูรณาการได้
ทุกกลุ่มสาระการเรียนรู้ สอดคล้องกับความต้องการใช้ประโยชน์ของท้องถิ่น ระดมปัจจัยความช่วยเหลือด้านกำลังกาย กำลังทรัพย์ จากคณะครู ผู้ปกครอง ชุมชน ท้องถิ่นและหน่วยงานองค์กรต่างๆ ด้านการจัดกิจกรรมพัฒนาผู้เรียน ส่งเสริมให้ผู้เรียนได้ศึกษาแหล่งเรียนรู้จากสถานที่จริงโดยการแทรกเข้าในกิจกรรมลูกเสือ เนตรนารี และด้านพัฒนาบุคลากรสถานศึกษา ส่งเสริมบุคลากรอบรม ศึกษาดูงานเกี่ยวกับการนำปรัชญาเศรษฐกิจพอเพียงไปใช้ในสถานศึกษา
