งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อการเปรียบเทียบประสิทธิภาพและประยุกต์ใช้เทคนิคการทำเหมืองข้อมูลในเชิงธุรกิจ โดยเลือกจำแนกประเภทใช้วิธี J48, JRip, Ridor, และ K-Nearest Neighbours (KNN) เพื่อประเมินประสิทธิภาพค่าความถูกต้อง (Accuracy) ค่าความแม่นยำ (Precision) ค่าความระลึก(Recall) และค่าความถ่วงดุล (F-Measure) โดยใช้ข้อมูลจาก UCI Machine Learning Repository คือ Car Evaluation โดยใช้เทคนิคการคัดเลือกกลุ่มข้อมูล ที่ใช้ในการสร้างโมเดล (Training Set) ที่เป็นสัดส่วนในแต่ละคลาส และทำการดำเนินการทดสอบข้อมูลโดยใช้เครื่องมือซอฟท์แวร์ Weka version 3.6.9 ในการดำเนินงาน
