ปริญญานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อขจัดปัญหาจากการเกิดจุดคอขวดในสถานีงานที่ 2 ในกระบวนการตัดขอบ/รีดขอบเป็นปัญหาทำให้เกิดการรอคอยอย่างหลีกเลียงไม่ได้จากการนำจิ๊กแม่พิมพ์ตัดขอบ/รีดขอบมาเข้าสู่กระบวนการซ่อม ซึ่งใช้ระยะเวลาถึง 5 ชั่วโมง ในการซ่อม 1 ชุด และปัญหาที่สำคัญคือการชำรุดของจิ๊กแม่พิมพ์ตัดขอบ/รีดขอบเกิดในเวลาใกล้เคียงกันจิ๊กแม่พิมพ์เดิมยังซ่อมไม่เสร็จแล้วมีของใหม่เข้ามาจนทำให้เกิดเป็นงานซ่อมสะสมทำให้เครื่องจักรจาก 11 เครื่อง ใช้งานได้เพียง 8 เครื่อง โดยเฉลี่ย/เดือน จนเป็นสาเหตุของการผลิตได้ไม่เพียงพอกับความต้องการที่กำหนดทำให้บริษัทต้องเปิดการทำงานล่วงเวลา
