งานเทศกาลเชียงรายดอกไม้งาม ครั้งที่ 9 (ททท.)

เชียงรายจัดงาน "เทศกาลเชียงรายดอกไม้งาม ครั้งที่ 9" ตั้งแต่วันที่ 24 ธันวาคม พ.ศ. 2555 - 3 มกราคม พ.ศ. 2556 ณ บริเวณสวนไม้งามริมน้ำกก อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดเชียงราย ใกล้สนามบินแม่ฟ้าหลวงเชียงราย ชมดอกไม้เมืองหนาวนานาพันธุ์ เมืองเชียงราย

นางรัตนา จงสุทธนามณี นายกองค์การบริหารส่วนจังหวัดเชียงราย กล่าวว่า เชียงรายมีภูมิประเทศสวยงาม มีความโดดเด่นด้วยเอกลักษณ์ของชาวล้านนา ผสมผสานกับศิลปวัฒนธรรมอันหลากหลายของชาติพันธุ์ต่าง ๆ อีกทั้งยังมีภูมิอากาศที่เหมาะสมแก่การเพาะปลูกไม้ดอกเมืองหนาว องค์การบริหารส่วนจังหวัดเชียงรายจึงได้จัดงาน "เทศกาลเชียงรายดอกไม้งาม" ในช่วงฤดูหนาวเป็นประจำทุกปีต่อเนื่องเรื่อยมา ตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2548 จนถึงปัจจุบัน โดยการจัดงานครั้งนี้เป็นครั้งที่ 9 เมืองเชียงรายอีกด้วย โดยได้กำหนดจัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่วันที่ 24 ธันวาคม 2555 - 3 มกราคม 2556 ณ บริเวณสวนไม้งามริมน้ำกก (ใกล้สนามบินแม่ฟ้าหลวง)

วัตถุประสงค์ในการจัดงานเพื่อส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยว เผยแพร่ศิลปวัฒนธรรมประเพณีอันดีงามของจังหวัดเชียงราย เสริมสร้างรายได้แก่ประชาชน และส่งเสริมพัฒนาให้จังหวัดเชียงรายเป็นแหล่งผลิตไม้ดอกไม้ประดับเมืองหนาวที่มีคุณภาพ โดยการจัดแสดงดอกไม้เมืองหนาวนานาพันธุ์ และนำดอกทิวลิปที่เพาะปลูกในจังหวัดเชียงรายมาเป็นจุดเด่น เพื่อดึงดูดนักท่องเที่ยวให้มาชมโดยไม่ต้องเสียเดินทางไปไกลถึงต่างประเทศ
