การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ

การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาถึงรูปแบบปัจจัยการเกิดอุบัติเหตุจราจรในเขตอำเภอเมือง จังหวัดมหาสารคาม โดยมีการนำข้อมูลการเกิดอุบัติเหตุจราจร ตั่งแต่ ปี พ.ศ.2554 –พ.ศ.2558 ซึ่งมีข้อมูลทั้งหมด 456 เหตุการณ์ มาทำการวิเคราะห์ จัดกลุ่ม โดยใช้เทคนิค K-Means ซึ่งเป็นอัลกอลิทึมของ ดาต้าไมน์นิ่ง หรือเหมืองข้อมูล ผู้ทำงานวิจัยได้นำโปรแกรม RapidMiner Studio 6 เข้ามาช่วยในการวิเคราะห์ จัดกลุ่ม เพื่อเพิ่มความแม่นยำและประสิทธิภาพในการทำงาน การดำเนินงานวิจัยครั้งนี้ดำเนินงานตามกระบวนการ GRISP-DM ซึ่งเป็นกระบวนการมาตรฐานในการพัฒนา ดาต้าไมน์นิ่ง เข้ามาวิเคราะห์ จัดกลุ่มปัจจัยต่างๆซึ่งได้ผลงานวิจัยจำนวน 2 กลุ่ม คือ Cluster 0 จำนวน 202 เหตุการณ์ และ Cluster 1 จำนวน 254 เหตุการณ์ ซึ่ง Cluster 0 สามารถสรุปผลของแต่ล่ะปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการเกิดอุบัติเหตุจราจรได้ดังนี้ คือ เดือนกุมภาพันธ์ เวลากลางคืน สถานที่ตำบลตลาด ประเภทจักรยานยนต์ ชน จักรยานยนต์ สาเหตุขับรถโดยประมาท อาการบาดเจ็บ ลักษณะผิวถนนเรียบ วัตถุที่ใช้ทำถนนยางมะตอย ความชื้นของถนนแห้ง ทิศทางตรง ทางร่วมแยกไม่มี และCluster 1 สามารถสรุปผลของแต่ล่ะปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการเกิดอุบัติเหตุจราจรได้ดังนี้ คือ เดือนกรกฎาคม เวลากลางคืน สถานที่ตำบลตลาด ประเภทจักรยานยนต์ ชน จักรยานยนต์ สาเหตุขับรถโดยประมาท อาการบาดเจ็บ ลักษณะผิวถนนเรียบ วัตถุที่ใช้ทำถนนยางมะตอย ความชื้นของถนนแห้ง ทิศทางตรง ทางร่วมแยกไม่มี
