การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีจุดประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนวิทยาศาสตร์ โดยใช้กระบวนการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบ 5 STEP(s) ร่วมกับการสอนแบบ Concept Attainment เรื่อง ระบบย่อยอาหาร ซึ่งประกอบด้วย แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้กระบวนการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบ 5 STEP(s) ร่วมกับการสอนแบบ Concept Attainment เรื่อง ระบบย่อยอาหาร จำนวน 1 แผน ระยะเวลา 1 ชั่วโมง และ แบบทดสอบผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน เรื่อง ระบบย่อยอาหาร ซึ่งเป็นข้อสอบ แบบปรนัยชนิดเลือกตอบ 4 ตัวเลือก จำนวน 10 ข้อ
กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการทดลองเครื่องมือคือ นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 โรงเรียน
ศรีสระวงค์ อำเภอปัว จังหวัดน่าน จำนวน 8 คน
ผลการวิจัยพบว่านักเรียนมีคะแนนเฉลี่ยก่อนเรียน เท่ากับ 3.75 (SD = 0.71) และนักเรียนมีคะแนนเฉลี่ยหลังเรียน เท่ากับ 6.75 ( SD = 1.34) เมื่อเปรียบเทียบคะแนนเฉลี่ยพบว่า นักเรียนมีคะแนนเฉลี่ยหลังเรียนและก่อนเรียน แตกต่างกันเท่ากับ 3.00 (SD=1.512) อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.05
