วัตถุประสงค์ของงานวิจัยนี้ เพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยของการอบแห้งโดยใช้เครื่องอบแห้งพลังงานแสงอาทิตย์แบบผสม และตากแดดตามธรรมชาติสำหรับการอบมะม่วง ซึ่งจะใช้มะม่วง 1กิโลกรัม ในการอบแห้งจะพบได้ว่ามะม่วงจะมีความชื้นลดลงเนื่องจากอุณหภูมิสูงขึ้นจึงเป็นทำให้มะม่วงที่อบนั้นแห้งไว มะม่วง ที่ตากแดดตามธรรมชาติจะแห้งไวกว่ามะม่วงที่อบไว้ในเครื่องอบแห้งพลังงานแสงอาทิตย์แบบผสมโดยน้ำหนักมะม่วงสดอยู่ที่1 กิโลกรัมและลดลงเหลืออยู่ 168 กรัม การอบแห้งโดยใช้เครื่องอบแห้งพลังงานแสงอาทิตย์แบบผสมและตากแดดตามธรรมชาติไม่เกิดการสิ้นเปลืองพลังงานและยังช่วยประหยัดพลังงานอีกด้วย
