การวิจัยนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงวิเคราะห์ (Analytical Research) มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการใช้เครือข่ายสังคมออนไลน์ ของนิสิตมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ วิทยาเขตเฉลิมพระเกียรติ จังหวัดสกลนคร เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลระหว่างเดือนมกราคม – พฤษภาคม 2559 โดยใช้แบบสอบถามจากกลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวน 162 คน 1) สถิติเชิงพรรณนา ได้แก่ ความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ค่าต่ำสุด และค่าสูงสุด 2) สถิติเชิงอนุมาน ได้แก่ สถิติไควสแควร์ และสถิติสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์ของเพียร์สัน
