สะพานติณสูลานนท์ เป็นสะพานคอนกรีตที่ยาวที่สุดในประเทศไทย อยู่ในอำเภอเมืองสงขลา และอำเภอสิงหนคร โดยเชื่อมเกาะยอ 2 ด้าน ระหว่างฝั่งบ้านน้ำกระจาย อำเภอเมืองสงขลา และบ้านเขาเขียว อำเภอสิงหนคร ความยาวของสะพาน 2 ช่วงแรก 940 เมตร และ 1,700 เมตร ตามลำดับ รวมเป็น 2,640 เมตร ก่อสร้างขึ้นในสมัย ฯพณฯ พลเอกเปรม ติณสูลานนท์ ดำรงตำแหน่งนายกรัฐมนตรี

จุดประสงค์ของการสร้างสะพานแห่งนี้ คือ การรองรับการคมนาคมทางรถยนต์ โดยไม่ต้องรอข้ามแพขนานยนต์ซึ่งมีไม่เพียงพอกับปริมาณรถยนต์ที่เพิ่มขึ้นอย่างรวดเร็ว ทำให้การเดินทางต้องใช้เวลานาน ทั้งเมื่อข้ามฝั่งมาแล้วก็ยังทำให้การจราจรติดขัดในตัวเมืองอีกด้วย ดังนั้น ในปี พ.ศ. 2524 รัฐบาลจึงมีนโยบายจะพัฒนาจังหวัดสงขลา และอำเภอหาดใหญ่ให้เป็นเมืองหลัก โดยกรมทางหลวงเป็นเจ้าของโครงการ และบริษัทจากประเทศไต้หวันเป็นผู้ดำเนินการก่อสร้าง เปิดให้ใช้เมื่อวันที่ 9 ธันวาคม พ.ศ. 2527

สะพานติณสูลานนท์ ถือเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของทางหลวงหมายเลข 4146 ซึ่งเชื่อมต่อระหว่างทางหลวงหมายเลข 4083 (ระโนด-เขาแดง) กับทางหลวงหมายเลข 407 (สงขลา-หาดใหญ่) ชาวจังหวัดสงขลานิยมเรียกสะพานนี้ติดปากว่า "สะพานป๋าเปรม" "สะพานติณ" หรือ "สะพานเปรม" และถือเป็นสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวแห่งหนึ่งที่ขึ้นชื่อของจังหวัด[1]
