เมื่อวันที่ 17 ก.พ. 57 รศ.ดร.สัมพันธ์ พันธุ์พฤษ์ ผอ.สถาบันทดสอบทางการศึกษาแห่งชาติ (สทศ.) กล่าวถึงการจัดสอบรอบพิเศษในการการทดสอบทางการศึกษาระดับชาติขั้นพื้นฐาน หรือ โอเน็ต (O-NET) ปีการศึกษา 2556 สำหรับนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 หรือเทียบเท่า ที่มีเหตุสุดวิสัยไม่สามารถมาเข้าสอบได้ในวันที่ 15-16 ก.พ. 57 ที่ผ่านมา โดยนักเรียนที่สามารถสมัครสอบรอบพิเศษได้ต้องเป็นนักเรียนที่มีเหตุสุดวิสัยจริง คือ 1. เจ็บป่วย หรือประสบอุบัติเหตุ และ 2. ประสบภัยธรรมชาติ โรคระบาด จนไม่สามารถเข้าสอบตามเวลาที่กำหนดได้
ทั้งนี้ นักเรียนต้องนำหลักฐานการรับรองจากสถานศึกษา รวมถึงใบรับรองแพทย์มาแสดงด้วย ตลอดจนเอกสารการยื่นขอคำร้องเข้าสอบในรอบพิเศษ ซึ่งมีกำหนดรับสมัครตั้งแต่วันที่ 17-24 ก.พ. 57 โดยสมัครด้วยตนเองที่ สทศ. หรือทางไปรษณียโดยวิธี EMS เท่านั้น พร้อมกับชำระค่าสมัครสอบวิชาละ 100 บาท สทศ.จะประกาศรายชื่อผู้มีสิทธิ์สอบชั้นม.6 วันที่ 28 ก.พ. 57 สอบวันที่ 5-6 มี.ค.57 และประกาศผลสอบวันที่ 31 มี.ค.57
