ใช้ในการเลื่อนตำแหน่งของตัวชี้ (Pointer) บนหน้าจอ โดยการขยับ Mouse เลื่อนไปมาบนโต๊ะที่มีพื้นเรียบ ซึ่งการขยับ Mouse แต่ละครั้งจะสัมพันธ์กับตำแหน่งของ Pointer บนหน้าจอ และรับคำสั่งเมื่อมีการกดปุ่มของ Mouse (click)
