กลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ นิสิตชั้นปีที่ 4 ภาควิชารัฐศาสตร์ คณะสังคมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์วิทยาเขตบางเขน ซึ่งมีจำนวนทั้งหมด 137 คน โดยแบ่งเป็นนิสิตชั้นปีที่ 4 ภาควิชารัฐศาสตร์ ภาคปกติ จำนวน 67 คน และ นิสิตชั้นปีที่ 4 ภาควิชารัฐศาสตร์ ภาคพิเศษ จำนวน 70 คน เครื่องมือในการใช้วิจัย เป็นแบบสอบถาม และแบบสอบถามที่ผู้วิจัยใช้แบ่งออกเป็น 4 ส่วน ดังนี้ (1) ข้อมูลทั่วไป (2) การวางแผนอนาคตหลังจบการศึกษา (3) แบบสอบถามความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการวางแผนอนาคตของนิสิต การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลใช้สถิติโดยใช้โปรแกรมคอมพิวเตอร์สำเร็จรูปสำหรับสถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ค่าร้อยละ ,ค่าเฉลี่ย ,ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และค่า Chi-square ใช้ทดสอบความอิสระต่อกันระหว่างตัวแปร 2 ตัว ผลการศึกษาพบว่า นิสิต ชั้นปีที่ ภาคพิเศษ ภาควิชารัฐศาสตร์ คณะสังคมศาสตร์ มีการวางแผนอนาคตที่ชัดเจนร้อยละ 62.9 โดยมีการตัดสินใจเลือกศึกษาต่อ ร้อยละ 55.7 และตัดสินใจเลือกทำงานเพื่อหาประสบการณ์ ร้อยละ 55.1 ในขณะที่นิสิตชั้นปีที่ 4 ภาคปกติ ภาควิชารัฐศาสตร์ คณะสังคมศาสตร์ มีการวางแผนอนาคตที่ชัดเจน ร้อยละ 46.3 โดยมีการเลือกศึกษาต่อ ร้อยละ 44.3 และเลือกทำงานเลย ร้อยละ 44.9 แสดงให้เห็นว่านิสิตภาคพิเศษมีการวางแผนอนาคตที่ชัดเจนกว่านิสิตภาคปกติ
