ประวัติ
ธุรกิจรถจักรยานยนต์ฮอนด้าเริ่มต้นขึ้นในประเทศไทยตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2507 โดยการนำเข้าของบริษัท เอเชี่ยน ฮอนด้า มอเตอร์ จำกัด ซึ่งเป็นตัวแทนของสำนักงานใหญ่จากบริษัท ฮอนด้า มอเตอร์ จำกัด ประเทศญี่ปุ่น ต่อมาฮอนด้าได้ตัดสินใจก่อสร้างโรงงานประกอบรถจักรยานยนต์ฮอนด้าขึ้นในประเทศไทย ควบคู่ไปกับบริษัท ไทยฮอนด้า แมนูแฟคเจอริ่ง จำกัด ในปี พ.ศ. 2508
ในช่วงแรกของการประกอบกิจการรถจักรยานยนต์ในประเทศไทย ฮอนด้าต้องประสบปัญหาไม่น้อยในการจัดจำหน่าย เนื่องจากการแข่งขันกันเองระหว่างผู้จัดจำหน่าย 3 ราย ซึ่งต่างก็มีหุ้นส่วนในบริษัท ไทยฮอนด้า แมนูแฟคเจอริ่ง จำกัด จึงได้สิทธิในการจำหน่ายรถที่ผลิตจากโรงงานแห่งนี้เหมือนกัน จนกระทั่งในปี พ.ศ. 2529 ได้มีนโยบายจากฮอนด้า มอเตอร์ ประเทศญี่ปุ่นให้ยุบรวมฝ่ายขายรวมกับบริษัท พี.ไทยแลนด์ แมชินเนอรี่ จำกัด ซึ่งเป็นหนึ่งในผู้จัดจำหน่ายรถจักรยานยนต์ฮอนด้ารายใหญ่ในขณะนั้นเพื่อจัดช่องทางการจำหน่ายใหม่ ก่อให้เกิด บริษัท เอ.พี.ฮอนด้า จำกัด เพื่อเป็นผู้จัดจำหน่ายรถจักรยานยนต์ฮอนด้าในประเทศไทยแต่เพียงผู้เดียวจนถึงปัจจุบัน
